Since 1997, my husband, Warren, and I have been blessed to call Cooks Hill Community Church home, not only for ourselves, but also for our two children, Eric and Chelan.  Upon moving to the State of Washington at the time of our marriage in 1982, we fell away from attending church.  But as so often happens, we re-examined this (or should I say, the Lord convicted us!) when our children were small.  Since walking through these doors we have experienced the life-changing effects of having a Spirit-led church family – fellowshipping, serving, worshiping, studying alongside other amazing Christians.
I began serving by making coffee for the fellowship time after service, and moved on to teaching Sunday School, Children’s Coordinator, Youth worker, and now here (and I’m still making coffee – in HeBrews!).  Guess you could say I grew along with our kids - and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  And when God wasn’t teaching me directly, he gave wonderful people to learn from.

Long story short – a journey with God is an amazing adventure, often hard, always worth it. Even when it didn’t fit my vision of myself, obedience has been the best “make-over “.   And with my supportive husband and two terrific kids, I have icing on the cake.

I‘m still making coffee.  I don’t even like coffee!  But I sure love doing it.  God is good!
